Timekeeper Clinics

ScotiabankGTHLPlayoffs02Timekeeper clinics provide new (Junior), Intermediate and Senior and/or house league timekeepers with initial timekeeper qualification or annual recurrent training. These clinics are coordinated and hosted by the by the Greater Toronto Hockey League’s Officiating Development department.

Interested persons may apply for a timekeeping position through their league President, Referee-in-Chief, Referee Coordinator or equivalent. Timekeeper selection is done by host’s Referee-in-Chief, Referee Coordinator or equivalent.

Junior Timekeeper

The Junior Timekeeping Course is for brand new timekeepers and those that have one year of timekeeping experience. This course is designed to enhance timekeepers with a better understanding of duties and procedures.

Please be advised that this course does not automatically get you a position within any of our House League or Competitive programs. You must secure a job as a timekeeper on your own.

The GTHL will be hosting two Junior Timekeeping Courses at the Referee Summer Camp in August. During this clinic, timekeepers will get hands on experience during an exhibition game.

Intermediate Timekeeper

The Intermediate Timekeeping Clinic is a refresher session designed for timekeepers with experience. This clinic will touch on the important points of Timekeeper duties, responsibility and procedures. The application of general and specific rules will be addressed in addition to game sheet completion and management.
