On Sunday, March 8 — International Women’s Day — the Greater Toronto Hockey League hosted its first GTHL Girls Development Day. As part of the day, participants took part in the GTHL’s Positivity Postcards activity, writing heartfelt notes to a future girl thinking about hockey. Each postcard shared encouragement, confidence, and personal reflections on what makes the game so special — from making new friends and having fun, to being brave, working hard and believing in yourself.
These messages are a powerful reminder of the supportive, inspiring community that continues to grow girls’ hockey — in the GTHL and beyond.
