GTHL Opens Registration for 2026-27 Pathway Development Skill Sessions

The Greater Toronto Hockey League has opened registration for its 2026-27 Pathway Development Skill Sessions, giving players and goaltenders the chance to get back on the ice and prepare for the upcoming evaluation season.

As part of the GTHL’s Player Pathways, the annual April skill sessions are designed to provide athletes with a strong start before formal evaluations begin. For the upcoming season, sessions will be available for Under-8 to U13 players and goaltenders, with new expansion to the U8 and U9 age divisions.

The Pathway Development Skill Sessions are built around a simple philosophy: a player’s first experience of a new hockey season should not be a formal evaluation. Instead, these sessions offer a fun, welcoming environment where participants can sharpen their skills, regain confidence on the ice, and prepare for the next step in their development.

Sessions will take place across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), and are open to any players and goaltenders intending to participate in upcoming evaluations. Participants must pre-register, and each player may register for up to three sessions. All registrations are non-refundable.

Families should also note that goaltender-specific training sessions are available, and registrants should ensure they select the correct age and level when registering.

Please also note that checking sessions for the U14 and U15 age divisions will now be held in the fall.
