The Greater Toronto Hockey League congratulates alumni Laura Stacey and Jessica DiGirolamo on winning the 2026 Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) Walter Cup with the Montréal Victoire.
Stacey, a Toronto Royals alumna, and DiGirolamo, a Mississauga North Stars alumna, helped Montréal capture the franchise’s first Walter Cup championship following a 4-0 win over the Ottawa Charge in Game 4 of the Finals. The victory sealed the best-of-five series 3-1 and marked the first PWHL championship for a Canadian team.
Stacey continued to be a key contributor for Montréal throughout the season and playoffs, while DiGirolamo added to a championship roster that helped make history in the PWHL’s third season.
Congratulations to Laura, Jessica, and the Montréal Victoire on a historic Walter Cup championship.
