GTHL announces 2023 U18 ‘A’ All-Stars fuelled by Gatorade

The Greater Toronto Hockey League announced today the Under-18 ‘A’ All-Star selections for the 2023 U18 ‘A’ All-Star Game fuelled by Gatorade on Saturday, January 28 at 1:00pm. The game will be one of three match-ups featured across the U18 All-Star Festival weekend fuelled by Gatorade at Scotiabank Pond.

The U18 ‘AAA’ All-Star Game will take place on Friday, January 27 at 7:30pm, with the U18 ‘AA’ All-Star Game following on Saturday, January 28 at 4:00pm. Admission to the games will be free of charge.

The U18 ‘A’ All-Star rosters include three goaltenders, six defensemen, and 12 forwards for a total of 42 players selected through a submission process from coaches in the division.

The coaches and trainers were selected based on their team’s position in the League’s standings. With coaches from the top six teams, the benches have representation from the Hillcrest Canadiens, North Toronto, Don Mills Mustangs, Vaughan Rangers, Vaughan Panthers, and West Mall Lightning.

The 42 players selected include every ‘A’ team, with all 10 teams in the West and all nine teams in the East represented.

On Team West (Blue), the Rangers and Panthers lead the way with four players each, with the Lightning in a close second with three players rostered. The Humber Valley Sharks, Greater Toronto Capitals, and the Attack each feature two players, while the Toronto Avalanche, Toronto Wolverines, Toronto Royals, and Duffield Devils each have one player selected.

Team East (Red) has North Toronto, Mustangs, and Canadiens out front with four players rostered each. The Toronto East Enders Ticats, Leaside Flames, and Toronto Shamrocks each feature two players, while the Willowdale Hawks, Forest Hill, and Ted Reeve Thunder have one player included from their squads.
