The Ted Reeve Thunder are GTHL Under-18 AA champions after defeating the Mississauga Beast in a hard-fought five-game Championship Series.
Mississauga opened the series with a narrow 3-2 win in Game 1, but Ted Reeve answered in Game 2 with a 2-1 victory to even the series. The Beast regained the edge with another 3-2 win in Game 3 before the Thunder responded once again, edging Mississauga 3-2 in Game 4 to force a decisive Game 5.
With the championship on the line, Ted Reeve delivered its tightest defensive effort of the series, earning a 1-0 shutout win in Game 5 to secure the title.
