The Vaughan Rangers are GTHL Under-14 A champions after defeating the Leaside Flames in five games in the Championship Series.
Vaughan opened the series with a 5-4 win in Game 1 and followed it up with a 4-1 victory in Game 2 to move within one win of the title. The Flames answered with a 4-2 win in Game 3, then evened the series in convincing fashion with a 4-0 result in Game 4 to force a decisive Game 5.
With the championship on the line, the Rangers responded with a strong performance in the final game, earning a 4-1 victory to secure the title.
