The Vaughan Rangers are GTHL Under-17 A champions after defeating Forest Hill in a five-game Championship Series.
Vaughan opened the series with a narrow 4-3 win in Game 1 and followed it up with a dominant 7-1 victory in Game 2 to take an early series lead. Forest Hill pushed back and answered in Game 3 with a 6-5 win, then evened the series in Game 4 with an 8-5 victory to force a deciding Game 5.
With the championship on the line, the Rangers responded with a strong performance in the final game, earning a 4-1 win to secure the title.
