Recap: 2026 GTHL Top Prospects Game Fuelled By Gatorade

TORONTO, ON – On January 28, the Greater Toronto Hockey League proudly hosted the 16th annual 2026 GTHL Top Prospects Game fuelled by Gatorade. The game featured 40 of the GTHL’s Under-16 ‘AAA’ players named to the prestigious event.

The game took place at a new location this year, Canlan Sports York, and welcomed stands full of fans to take in the action.

Team Blue and Team Red rosters — each featuring two goaltenders, six defencemen, and 12 forwards — were created through selections made by a committee of major junior hockey scouts. The GTHL extends its sincere thanks to celebrity coaches, Nik Antropov and Wendel Clark, who joined Team Blue and Team Red respectively on the bench.

On the ice, Team Blue earned a 3-1 victory in a tightly contested match-up defined by outstanding goaltending. After a scoreless first period, Team Red opened the scoring in the second as Arjun Nanubhai (Mississauga Senators) found the back of the net. Team Blue responded in the third, with Adrian Sgro (Vaughan Kings) scoring twice to complete the comeback. Landon Roulston (Vaughan Kings) added the empty net marker with less than 30 seconds remaining to make it a 3-1 final.

Gatorade Most Valuable Players of the Game honours went to Nanubhai (1G) and Sgro (2G).

The GTHL graciously thanks Gatorade, the title sponsor, for fuelling the game and the athletes, as well as Gitch Sportswear for gearing up players as the game’s apparel partner, and Canlan Sports for their hospitality and for providing a fantastic environment for the game.
