This holiday season, three GTHL associations are lacing up for something bigger than the game. The Ted Reeve Hockey Association, Leaside Hockey Association, and North Toronto Hockey Association are joining forces to support Make-A-Wish Canada through the 2025 Trees of Joy campaign.
Every two hours, a child in Canada is diagnosed with a life-changing critical illness. Make-A-Wish Canada helps these children and their families by granting their most heartfelt wishes — trips, experiences, and moments that restore strength, hope, and joy when they’re needed most.
This year, the GTHL community is rallying behind that mission. Through Hockey for Wishes, players, families, and teams from Ted Reeve, Leaside, and North Toronto are turning their passion for hockey into meaningful impact off the ice.
Together, the three associations have set a shared fundraising goal of $10,000, with all funds raised set to go directly to Make-A-Wish Canada. Any amount raised over the $10,000 goal will also be donated to Make-A-Wish, extending the impact even further.
Through the initiative, teams spanning all ages from Ted Reeve, Leaside, and North Toronto are encouraged to make Hockey for Wishes part of their fundraising plans this season.
