TORONTO, ON – The Greater Toronto Hockey League is proud to announce the 15th annual GTHL Top Prospects Game fuelled by Gatorade will take place on January 29, 2025 at 7:30pm. The top 40 GTHL Under-16 ‘AAA’ players will go head-to-head at Herbert H. Carnegie Centennial Centre.
The rosters will be announced during the GTHL Top Prospects Selection Show fuelled by Gatorade on Wednesday, December 4 at 6:00pm EST. The Selection Show, revealing the Team Red and Team Blue rosters, will be available to watch on the GTHL’s Instagram and YouTube page. Each roster will include two goaltenders, six defencemen, and 12 forwards.
Ticket information for the event will be announced at a later date.
“The GTHL is excited to celebrate the 15th annual GTHL Top Prospects Game, back at the Herbert H. Carnegie Centennial Centre,” said Scott Oakman, GTHL Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer. “This milestone year is a testament to the ongoing growth and success of the event, which has become a highlight of our hockey season. As we reflect on this event’s impact over the past 15 years, we’re reminded of the importance of fostering a strong, supportive community in our league and in the game of hockey.”
Current NHL stars such as Connor McDavid, Mitch Marner, Darnell Nurse, as well as exceptional status granted and first overall pick in the 2022 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection, Michael Misa, are alumni of the GTHL Top Prospects Game.
Of the 40 players selected in the 2024 GTHL Top Prospects Game, 36 were 2024 OHL Priority Selection picks.
