RECAP: 2024 ‘A’ Challenge Cup

On November 29 to December 1, the Greater Toronto Hockey League hosted the ‘A’ Challenge Cup tournament at Scotiabank Pond. The tournament welcomed 32 ‘A’ teams across four non-contact divisions of Under-14, U15, U16, and U18.

Teams from all over Ontario competed for the ‘A’ Challenge Cup, with this year’s tournament featuring participants from the ALLIANCE, GTHL, the Mississauga Hockey League (MHL), and Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA).

Attending teams — courtesy of Gatorade, LiveBarn, the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), and the Hockey Hall of Fame — were welcomed with gifting to share among their athletes.

Participants were able to interact with the official apparel partner of the GTHL, Gitch Sportswear, who was on location throughout the weekend. Spordle was also on-site, both to engage with attendees and provide collaborative resources for the tournament itself.
