RECAP: 2024 Platinum Cup powered by the Toronto Maple Leafs and the GTHL

On November 22 to 24, the Platinum Cup powered by the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Greater Toronto Hockey League hosted 24 teams across three Under-11 divisions, including ‘A,’ ‘AA,’ and ‘AAA’ teams, at Scotiabank Pond.

For the second consecutive year, the tournament featured the Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni versus Toronto First Responders Game. The game saw a team of Toronto Fire, Toronto Paramedics, and Toronto Fire face-off against the likes of Nik Antropov, Brad May, Nick Kypreos, Mike Johnson, Peter Holland, and more.

On the ice, teams from all over Ontario competed for the Platinum Cup, with this year’s tournament featuring champions from the Northern Ontario Hockey Association (NOHA) and the GTHL.

The GTHL congratulates all 2024 Platinum Cup medalists, as well as all participants on a great weekend of competition and fun.

‘A’ DIVISION – 4-3 SHOOTOUT FINAL 

  • Gold: Forest Hill Force
  • Silver: Vaughan Rangers

‘AA’ DIVISION – 4-2 FINAL  

  • Gold: Soo Jr. Greyhounds
  • Silver: North Toronto

‘AAA’ DIVISION – 2-1 OVERTIME FINAL 

  • Gold: Toronto Young Nationals
  • Silver: Vaughan Kings
