A GTHL tradition continues, with the new addition and support of the Esso Brand! Esso GTHL Puck Drop Weekend returns to on Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26 to kick off the 2025-26 season. The festival will take place at Canlan York.

The Esso GTHL Puck Drop Weekend returns this October to kick off the 2025-26 season in celebrate of the game we love. Following the 2024 event that brought together more than 130 teams for two days of competition, prizes, and family fun, this year’s festival promises even more excitement on and off the ice.
From memorable game-day moments to Esso’s signature medals, the weekend is all about showcasing the passion and spirit of hockey across every age and level. With Esso leading the way, Esso GTHL Puck Drop Weekend will once again bring the hockey community together to celebrate the start of another unforgettable season.
