OTTAWA, ON – The 2025 Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) Draft presented by Upper Deck was held on Tuesday, June 25 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Ottawa, Ontario.  

A total of 48 players were selected in the six-round process from seven different countries. This included 30 forwards, 13 defenders, and five goaltenders.  

The Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL) saw one alumna selected. Congratulations to Tamara Giaquinto (Toronto Wolverines), who was drafted with the fourth pick in the sixth round to the Montreal Victoire. Giaquinto is an alumna of Boston University, playing five seasons with the Terriers and serving as captain from 2023-2025. The defender registered 15 goals and 29 assists for 44 points over her 144-game NCAA career.  

For the second consecutive season, the New York Sirens were awarded the first overall selection based on the PWHL’s Gold Plan system. The Sirens selected Colgate University forward Kristýna Kaltounková to commence the 2025 Draft.
