GTHL and Nothers The Award Store Launch Volunteer of the Month

TORONTO, ON – Great hockey experiences don’t happen on their own. Behind every team, every game, and every season are dedicated volunteers who give their time to make minor hockey possible.

For the 2026-27 season, the Greater Toronto Hockey League, in partnership with Nothers The Award Store, is introducing the Nothers Volunteer of the Month program, recognizing the individuals who go above and beyond for their teams, associations, and hockey communities.

The program is shining the spotlight on the volunteers whose contributions often happen behind the scenes. From team managers and coaches to organizers, association leaders, and countless others who dedicate their time to the game, volunteers are at the heart of minor hockey. Whether it’s helping a young player feel welcome, organizing team activities, supporting families, or simply being someone others can count on, their efforts make a lasting difference.

Throughout the 2026-27 season, the GTHL and Nothers The Award Store are inviting members of the hockey community to nominate deserving volunteers who demonstrate dedication, leadership, sportsmanship, and a commitment to making hockey a positive experience for everyone.

Nominations are open to volunteers involved in GTHL-affiliated House League, Select, A, AA, and AAA programs.

Each month, one volunteer will be selected and celebrated through the GTHL’s website and social media channels, receiving recognition and a prize courtesy of Nothers The Award Store and the GTHL.

Know someone who deserves a little recognition?

Whether they’ve been involved for one season or twenty, we want to hear about the volunteers who make your hockey community a better place.
