TORONTO, ON – The Greater Toronto Hockey League is proud to announce the 16th annual GTHL Top Prospects Game fuelled by Gatorade will take place on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. The top 40 GTHL Under-16 ‘AAA’ players will go head-to-head at a new location, Canlan Sports York, on the main pad.
The rosters will be announced during the GTHL Top Prospects Selection Show fuelled by Gatorade on Wednesday, December 10 at 6:00 p.m. EST. The Selection Show, revealing the Team Red and Team Blue rosters, will be available to watch on the GTHL’s Instagram and YouTube channel. Each roster will include two goaltenders, six defencemen, and 12 forwards.
Ticket information for the event will be announced following the Selection Show.
“The GTHL is proud to bring the 16th annual GTHL Top Prospects Game fuelled by Gatorade to Canlan Sports York,” said Scott Oakman, GTHL Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer. “This event has become a highlight of our season and an important step in the journey for many of our U16 AAA players. We’re excited to showcase this year’s group in a first-class environment in front of family and friends, and to continue celebrating the strength and depth of player development in the GTHL.”
Current NHL stars such as Connor McDavid, Mitch Marner, and Darnell Nurse, as well as exceptional status player and first overall pick in the 2022 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection, Michael Misa, are among the alumni of the GTHL Top Prospects Game.
Of the players selected in the 2025 GTHL Top Prospects Game, 37 were chosen in the 2025 OHL Priority Selection.
