GTHL Announces 2026 Top Prospects, Ticket Information in Selection Show Fuelled by Gatorade

TORONTO – The Greater Toronto Hockey League announced today the 2026 GTHL Top Prospects in a selection show fuelled by Gatorade. The selection show featured the top 40 GTHL Under-16 ‘AAA’ players named to the prestigious game, taking place on January 28, 2026. The event will be held at a new location this year, Canlan Sports York on the main pad. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EST, with doors opening at 6:00 p.m.

Team Blue and Team Red rosters, which include two goaltenders, six defencemen, and 12 forwards on each team, are created through selections made by a committee of major junior hockey scouts.

Of the 12 ‘AAA’ GTHL clubs, the rosters feature eight different teams. The Toronto Jr. Canadiens, Vaughan Kings, and Toronto Marlboros lead the way with seven players each. The Don Mills Flyers and the Mississauga Senators follow closely with six and five players respectively, while the Markham Majors are represented by four players. The Reps Hockey Club and the Toronto Red Wings round out the selections with two players each.

As the top two teams in the division at the time of selection, the Jr. Canadiens and the Kings are also represented by their head coaches and trainers. Kings’ head coach Mathew Sisca and trainer Dean Grima will be on the bench for Team Blue, while Jr. Canadiens’ head coach Justin Teakle and trainer Gabriella Noce will be on the bench for Team Red.

The celebrity coaches who will take part in the 2026 GTHL Top Prospects Game fuelled by Gatorade will be announced at a later date.
