The Greater Toronto Hockey League, in partnership with Pro Hockey Life, is proud to launch the Why I Play Contest, inviting players from across the League to share what drives their passion for the game of hockey.
Running from October 3 to October 31, 2025, the campaign asks participants to answer the question, “Why I play?” through a short submission. Players can enter by uploading:
- A photo
- A video (maximum 30 seconds)
- A short written statement
Entries can be submitted through the GTHL x Pro Hockey Life: Why I Play Contest form below. Throughout October, select submissions will be highlighted on the League’s social media platforms using the hashtag #WhyIPlay. GTHL players in both house league and competitive (A, AA, and AAA) levels are encouraged to participate.
At the end of the month, three winners will be selected. Prizing courtesy of Pro Hockey Life includes:
- First Place: A signed Toronto Maple Leafs jersey + $500 Pro Hockey Life gift card
- Second Place: A signed Toronto Maple Leafs jersey + $250 Pro Hockey Life gift card
- Third Place: $250 Pro Hockey Life gift card
Note: The Leafs jerseys will either be Max Domi, Ryan Reaves, or Simon Benoit.
Winners will be announced in November.
