The celebrations are ready. Now, it’s up to the GTHL community to decide which one comes out on top.
The Greater Toronto Hockey League is launching the GTHL Celly Challenge, a new social media competition featuring 21 goal celebrations from players across the League, with fans voting throughout the fall to determine the ultimate Celly Challenge champion.
The contest officially kicks off Friday, October 16.
Over seven weeks, three celebrations will be featured each Friday as part of the opening round of the competition. Fans will have the opportunity to watch the featured cellys and vote for their favourite on the GTHL’s Instagram (@gthlhockey).
After all 21 celebrations have been featured, the eight cellys with the most votes will advance to the Celly Challenge Playoffs in December.
From there, the competition shifts to a head-to-head bracket, with quarterfinal and semifinal matchups narrowing the field down to two finalists.
The final vote will take place Friday, December 18, with the inaugural GTHL Celly Challenge Champion set to be crowned on Tuesday, December 22.
