The Greater Toronto Hockey League is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2025-26 King Clancy Cup, returning for another season following a successful relaunch and with expanded opportunities for teams across the Under-10 to U18 age groups.
Designed to extend the season and provide meaningful, structured competition for teams no longer active in the GTHL Playoffs presented by Gitch Sportswear, the King Clancy Cup will once again feature round robin play followed by playoffs, with participating teams guaranteed a minimum number of games based on division size.
Eligibility
The King Clancy Cup is open to:
- Non-playoff ‘A’ teams from the GTHL and Mississauga Hockey League (MHL)
- Non-playoff ‘AA’ and ‘AAA’ teams from the GTHL
- Additional Hockey Canada sanctioned, OHF, and eligible USA teams (some categories may require approval from Tournament Officials)
Important eligibility note:
- U10–U12 teams are eligible only if eliminated from the GTHL preliminary round of the GTHL Playoffs presented by GSW.
- U13 and older teams are eligible if they do not qualify for the GTHL Playoffs.
NOTE: U10, U11, and U12 registration will open once the GTHL preliminary rounds begin. Teams eliminated from that round will be eligible for King Clancy. To be on a pre-register list in these age groups ahead of the preliminary round, please reach out to [email protected].
Registration Fee
- U10–U13: $1,250 per team
- U14 and older: $1,550 per team
Registration fees do not include gamesheet fees. Teams are responsible for paying gamesheet fees to the GTHL Rink Attendants prior to each game. There are NO gate fees.
